OutBack MX60 Charge Controller
The OutBack MX60 Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) charge
controller enables your PV system to achieve its highest possible
performance. Rated for up to 60 amps of DC output current, the
OutBack MX60 can be used with battery systems from 12 to 60 VDC with
PV open circuit voltage as hight as 125 VDC. The MX60's setpoints
are fully adjustable to allow use with virtually any battery type.
The OutBack MX60 allows you to use a higher output voltage PV array
with a lower battery voltage. For example, you can char a 24 VDC
battery bank with a 48 VDC solar array. This reduces wire size and
power loss from the PV array to the battery and inverter location
and can maximize the performance of your system.
The backlit LCD display is used for programming and
monitoring of the system's operation and performance. The MX60 can
also be connected to the OutBack Mate system controller to allow
monitoring of up to eight MX60 controllers from as far as 300 feet
away. $649

TriStar Controller
Morningstar's TriStar Controller is a 3-function controller
that provides reliable solar battery charging, load control or
diversion regulation. The controller operates in one of these modes
at a time and two or more controllers may be used to provide
multiple functions.
The TriStar uses advanced technology and automated production
to provide exciting new features at a competitive price. The
optional TriStar meter is the sophisticated and informative.
Larger power terminals, conduit knockouts, extra space for wire
turns.

ProStar
The ProStar controller has become the world's leading mid-range
controller for both professional and consumer applications.
MorningStar recently introduced the first major upgrade to its
flagship product line. By using highly advanced technoloty, this
second generation ProStar sets new standards for reliability and
self-diagnostics. The controller is ideal for homes, RV's and boats
and numerous industrial applications such as
telecommunications.
It is almost impossible to "kill" the ProStar due to large
design margins and electronic protections. It is capable of 25%
overloads. There is no need to derate so you can use up to full
nameplate ratings. The Prostar's constant voltage PWM regulation now
uses four stages of charging including boost charging for longer
battery life. Battery type selections are made via rotary switch and
include gel, sealed or flooded. The ProStar has been designed for
reduced interference durein PWM regulations for less telecom noise.
Available in 15 and 30 amp, 12/24 or 48 volt, with or without
meter, and with negative or positive ground. ProStar 15: $102.
ProStar 30: $152. ProStar 30 with meter: $219. ProStar 30 witn
positive ground: $214. Technical Information &
