FX & VFX INVERTERS
The OutBack FX Series is a sine wave inverter/charger
that can be used for both small and large power systems. Each
OutBack FX inverter/charger is a complete power conversion system -
DC to AC inverter, battery charger and AC transfer switch.
Additional FX inverter/chargers can be connected at any time in
either parallel (120 VAC), series (120/240 VAC), or three-phase
configurations. This allows a system to be tailored to meet the
specific power conversion requirements of the application, both at
the time of the installation and in the future.
Our unique sealed, gasketed die-cast aluminum chassis protects
and keeps the power conversion components cool - without requiring
outside air to be blown through the sensitive electronics. This
reduces the major causes of inverter failure - corrosion, dust,
insect and animal damage. The OutBack FX series inverter/charger
system is designed for both residential and commercial stand-alone
or back-up power applications with battery energy storage.

Powdercoated all aluminum die-cast chassis. Internal electronic
components are cooled by outside air. Stainless steele screen to

GTFX and GVFX Inverters. These inverters area capable of
sending power back into a utility grid when excess power is
available from the alternative energy power source. The same OutBack
grid-tie system also operates as a utility backup system, using
energy stored in a battery bank. Battery-less systems cannot provide
utility back-up and are not offered by OutBack Power Systems. Only
GTFX or GVTX models can be used in grid-tie mode.

OutBack Power Systems offers all the components
to assemble a complete power panel; mounting plate, AC and DC
enclosures, AC and DC breakers, charge controller, programming unit,
and, of course, a selection of inverters. The power panel is
available in two sizes; the larger one accommodates up to four
OutBack Inverters or two Xantrex Inverters. The PS2, or short stack
as shown above, will accommodate one or two OutBack Inverters. The
Power Panels are available as separate components or pre-assembled.

Xantrex Inverters
The SW Series is a sine wave (utility grade electricity)
DC to AC conversion inverter for use in stand-alone and backup
grid-tied power applications. It is fully compatible with grid
power, generators, and renewable energy systems. UL and CSA listed
and IEEE 929 compliant. 24 or 48 volt input, 4000 continuous watts

The DR Series is a modified sine wave inverter with a
3-stage battery charger and an automatic AC transfer relay. This

sized, off-grid and utility backup in residential and commercial

Sunny Boy
The Sunny Boy line of inverters are applicable for 700 watts to
1 megawatt of PV grid tie power with a conversion efficiency of more
than 93%. The basic principle of the Sunny Boy inverters is that one
inverter is used per string of modules; where typicall
configurations use several strings of modules in parrallel to
achieve rated power, the Sunny Boy uses modules wired in series at a
high DC voltage. String inverters are also easily paralleled to
increase energy efficiency. The result is increased efficiency and
great savings in wire costs, eliminating the losses due to
mismatching and the need for a combiner box, blocking diodes, and
